Knock the top off with a hammer, and then use a normal socket... Then tighten the new one with a cresent wrench...

I was gonna try that but didn't know if I should but still can't get the crescent wrench or channel locks on there. Whatever sensor is next to it is too close

I have one in Katy. Had to cut it in half and weld a piece of pipe on it to make it longer to fit my old 6.5 diesel years ago. Or maybe my ex wifes S10 4.3-I don't remember.

alright i got it out and in which was a pain in the but without taking the intake off but its done.........but...............im not sure if i did this or if its been this way.

its late and dark and couldnt really trace it down but it looks like right above the oil sending unit in the very back there is a hose that comes across the very back that hooks into 2 hard lines. it is broke at the hose right after the 2 hard lines hook in.

here is a pic. i know its hard to tell but with such a tight spot it was hard to take a pic. i need the car back on the road and need to know what it is. thanks

It's part of your PCV system, you need to replace it.
