It looks like when the parachute opened up, it lifted the rear wheels off of the ground slightly and caused the driver to lose control. I wonder if he had made any practice runs with the 'chute before going all-out like that?

I don't understand why they continue to host the mile event there. It's obviously not safe and doesn't have sufficient room to shut down big HP cars going 200+ MPH. The guy in the Lambo is lucky he wasn't killed. If they don't either add on to the shut down area or find another place to host this event, its only a matter of time before someone does get killed.

The other cars were fine to stop via brakes or parachute.

Rookie driver mistake occurred on top of a head wind. The GT's were stopping find from 220-250mph without the use of a chute with room to spare.

I agree. Someone will get hurt. Everybody takes a risk going down that strip. Odds with play out one day.

I want to build a track specifically for mile racing one day, if there's a demand for it however.

This guy spun that Lambo out several times trying to stop it before the wreck. I have watched other videos of him driving the car and had no business in a car with that kind of power!

I think he hit the brakes if you hit the brakes with a shoot it do that,, pulls the car up in the rear and they need more room ....
