t2i is a crop sensor, keep in mind when your looking at photo galleries of an 14mm lens on a full frame it wont look like that on yours.

How do you feel about the 10-22mm wide angle lens?

You may not need a wider lens. How long is the pole in your rig? You need at least a 10 to 14 foot pole. Going with a super wide lens will get distorted pic and a rolling shot usually goes for a mostly undistorted image with dramatic motion blurring effect at road, background and wheels.

some high end super wides don't distort.

but if ytou want to be cheap, you can go with a lens that distorts - just fix it in photoshop

i dont like zooms honestly, my widest glass is a zeiss 21mm distagon on a 5dII.
but i guess you dont have much of a choice if you want to stay in a budget. next thing you could do would be a 14mm L glass if you didnt go with the 10-22.
are you shooting on the kit 18-55 lens?
guess what chaman said would be the easiest thing to implement, a longer boom arm.
