Car storage question My car's been sitting in the garage due to ice for the last 4 days now. I started it up once yesterday and let it idle with the garage door open for a few minutes to keep the fluids viscous and the battery charged.
Car is an 07 z06. How often should I do this, or is it overkill? I've heard stories of the c6 vettes having a drained battery if you don't drive them often enough. Also not sure if the oil or the dry sump system would have any long term parking issues, at least not for a few days. I've got 5w30 mobil 1 synthetic in there and I know it's good down to -30*F.

leave it parked in reverse and it shouldn't drain the battery... i rarely drive my car either and usually start it once a week and let it get up to operating temp and let the fans cycle once or twice and i've never had any problems
You can also get a charger. I have a C-Tek that is small and plugs up in about 2 seconds. No more worries. I still try to start it at least once a week. This last year I was crazy busy and only put 550 miles on the car. I know that is unacceptable

hi,my car is not a daily driver. however, i start the vehicle and let it run to operating temps every 7/10 days. i also back up and pull forward a few times. no issues after three years.
