dumb question how do you replace the bulb in the steering wheel radio controls? i can pop the housing out but do not have slack in the wiring to look at it.
and can you wire those controls up to an aftermarket radio?

You need to buy and replace the switch. The switch is removed bu using a small flathead screwdirver, and simply prying it out of its hole on the steering wheel. Disconnect the wires, connect to the new switch and replace the switch in it's hole.

Let us expand this thread to include the bulbs in the A/C controls. I'm pretty sure I opened it up before and it wasn't just standard twist and replace. My a/c area and gear indicators lights have been out for years.
