What the hell is up with Discount Tire's credit?

Yep, DIR is a big factor in the credit world too. A 730 credit score is damn good for anybody, especially now days. There are alot of ppl with fucked up credit. Ask me how I know lol. I sell cars.

I only have 1 actual credit card. The rest were credit accounts from conn's, best buy, frys, and guitar center. The fry's and GC accounts are still open, but I owe nothing on them. The credit card I have has a $1500 limit and owe around $1000 on it, so that won't be enough for tires.
and 66% of that is used up?
thats why your getting declined. most of your credit is used...
id talk to your credit card co about getting your limit raised.
1500$ worth of credit on a card isnt squat.
what im saying is... you would be more credible if you had 5000$ borrowed on 10,000$ of credit.... than if you have 1,000$ borrowed on 1500$.
50% vs 66%... youre only using half of your credit in the first scenario.
id also figure out your debt to income ratio. this had me screwed up for a long time after i racked up my CC while i was laid off a couple of years ago. i couldnt get a loan for jack even with a good credit score because i had a high DIR.
besides, if you make 3000 a month, and you only owe 1000 bucks, id just use a paycheck to pay off the debt this month, and then use the card to buy tires.
and the truth is, if you cant afford to pay off the 1000$ bucks in a month, then YOUR DEBT (house note, car note etc etc) TO INCOME IS TOO HIGH
