Tons of cars have TBs on the trans that are street driven. So do it if you know your suspension will handle it, and the rear. I love launching at 6000 in my 6 speed 89, but the 86, man, it needs more gear badly.
it will remain stock style suspension, but will have a full upgrade in parts. i'll get a rearend that can handle it, i'm more worried about a trans with a brake than i am the suspension and rearend.

When you install a brake you build the trans for it, no biggie. The shock from the brake will shock the rear and suspension components surely testing the weak links.
yeah but its not the durability of the trans i'm worried about. its the possibility of me either accidently hitting the button while driving or the trans brake leaking causing a fire or burning up the trans. my uncle has one on his S/G car and if my cousin is still running a auto trans on his T/S rail he has one as well and i've seen it leak and almost destroy the S/G car. anyway over the nest few months if you start getting pm's from me don't worry i'm not stalking i'm just looking for info.

Well, anything can leak, it is part of the territory honestly. But a "button" should be only activated with a arming switch to prevent accidental activation.
i thought about that as well, but still not sure about a TB on a street car. i'll have to see when i start building it up.
