Cam Install Tools
I ordered everything to do my cam swap today and will be installing in a few weeks. Does anyone have a JRP lifter tool and/or the in-car valvespring compressor tool that I could rent? I would be happy to pay and give a deposit if you want. I would just buy them but I dont plan on needing them again. I live in Spring so anyone in the area let me know if you are willing to let me rent them from you. Thanks
Just get 5/16 brake line and make the lifter tool yourself. In most cases a swift spin of the cam and the lifters will be held up by the trays. Its just good insurance to use the lines. Too far away for the valvespring compressor....
I bought two valve spring compressors from O'reileys for two reaosns, one for the back half and one for the front half.....ones a cheap *** pry bar type.... was in Houston last night and had them both in my truck....woulda posted it yesterday I would have gave them to you
