Auto Appraisal

Does anyone know a good auto Appraisal guy? Short story I purchased a truck that needed a ton of work; new tranny, stall, ac, bodywork, airbags etc. Whelp I fixed it all now uncle Sam wants taxes on $30,000 because that is their presumed value. I want to contest this, but I already fixed most of the truck's issues. Am I SOL?

I paid about 1/4th of their assisted valve and fixed it up myself.

I think that what ever tax office has it down for a value, that is what it will be taxed on. I know it sucks but that seems like the way they do it now.

You can have a cars appraised value changed, I just discussed this with a woman at the county clerk. I however am of no help for the appraiser.

So you just went to the county clerk? I talked with the lady at the local office and she was of no help at all saying I needed to get it appraised if I want the value changed.
