Default Electrical System Issues

For the past few weeks or so, the stereo would just cut off. It would come back on intermittently and then usually stay on. I would just wait for it. Today, however, I did it when I was in a drive-thru. I tried to roll down the window to order, but it didn't work. Right after I said screw it and drove off, the stereo came back on, so I tried to roll down the window. It worked. Any ideas?

BCM. Behind the glove compartment, mine is starting to do it more often. It sucks since my A/C is not working yet.

Do a search on here and you will find where some people have removed the BCM and used a soldering iron to fix it.

I had someone solder the damaged metal where the picture below is circled and it fixed the problem that you are describing.

Good luck!

It's either the BCM or the ignition switch on top of the steering column.

How do I determine if it's the BCM or ignition switch?

if you are having issues with both the radio and windows, it is the BCM. i had this problem and just re-soldered the appropriate joints and now all is good. you can just re-heat the solder joints, but i put a tiny bit of extra solder on there just to make it a little stronger.

you can see the solder joints in the picture that bassplayer posted, but if you do a search, there is a whole writeup on it.
