I Need help With Engine Build!
Im building a iron lq4 6.0 with ls2 pistons and rods, with milled 241 64cc heads, 7.4 push-rods, t-rex 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa cam, and ls2 head gaskets...My PTV is crazy i cut .160 on both exhaust and intake....exhaust has .080 clearance but the intake has 0 clearance....WTF am i doing wrong? do i need shorter push-rods?

With the cam lobe in the closed position the valve should be closed too. If your valve is staying open then your push rod is too long. Are you checking this with the head gaskets on or off.

ok i think i figured it out. i was measuring with my 7.4 and a solid lifter (that's where i f'ed up). i put the pushrod length checker at 7.3 which gives me 0 lash and preload of .1 and spun it with no problems. i might have to cut a little on the intake but only like .025 to clear at .090.....IS THIS RIGHT?

if you use a dial indicator set up on the valve center line that should take any guess away from what the valve event is doing. Ive always factored in lifter preload after ptv clearence was set.
