Yesterday I ran the A/C sitting in 610 traffic for about 30 minutes and it slowly crept up to 250 and I shut it off. This heat is Brutal!

Ive been having the same problem a couple times this summer, I just turn the AC off and it goes back to normal. First summer this has happened.

TA threw up the other day. Green puke! Topped her off when I got home but yea, this heat is not good for the TA.

Thanks for all the info. I just bought a 2002 z28 for the engine, but after driving it a while it got hot also.
Went down to normal when I shut off the A/C.
Good to know this is normal.

I was having overheating problems but I did a flush and fresh 50/50 then royal purple engine ice and I have a 160 stat it stays at 200-205 with ac and 190 ac off
