country music has been spiraling lately.. that's a whole 'nother discussion. 
yea I dunno.. when I was a college kid I had 2 12" subs in my truck and I blasted 3 6 mafia and thought it was juts the coolest thing..
then one day i realized.. these are.. the DUMBEST lyrics I've ever heard.. all these angry people mindlessly yelling and discussing closed minded ideas that amount to nothing..
I honestly think it was the game GTA SA that made me realize this. (no really..) CJ gets so caught up in this tiny little existence between these 3 meaningless gangs.. and there's this whole world out there full of achievements and things to do/see that he misses for the longest time in the game.
the small minded "gangster" mentality is really what got me over rap. It's like 2 dogs barking at each other through a fence in a townhome, not aware of the world outside.. who cares who owns that tiny little spot? You're both idiots.

Now with that said, anybody who is denying the talent of these two, is not necessarily stupid, but certainly ignorant. Just because a certain type of music is not your style does not necessarily mean it is talentless garbage. Personally I cannot stand Kanye as a person, he is a POS racist ****, but it's impossible to deny the talent involved in his music if you are not a close minded simpleton. And Jay-Z, hell, he has converted himself into an empire, you think he did that by being stupid?
