I don't understand why you all have such a hardon for people to use the collective tense when referring their team. It's common practice for anyone to call their team, their team. When someone asks you who your team is do you correct them and say that you just root for the Texans. Id bet not. You know what people mean, try and pick on something with more substance.

They went back in time and had a very tough time getting back to the present day...something Cowboys fans haven't yet managed to do.

I prefer a more passive level of criticism. For instance, a lard *** whom rocks a mullet while wearing an ultra hot tank top and a pair of sweats. Most would make fun of his appearance, or weight level. I'd make a cholesterol joke.

Id also argue the substance level of the use of collective tense by fanboys. For instance, you hear a towelboy of a varsity team including himself in a victory. You're saying to pick on that lacks substance?

Saying "my team" is possessive, not anything wrong with that. Saying "We did this and We did that" is entirely different. That means you yourself did the actions. Saying "My team kicked *** and did this" - that would be normal and acceptable. There is a difference.

For example, I like LSX powered vehicles. If you read this statement:

I ran excellent at the track yesterday, and I won several races.

Would this statement work if I were describing someone else racing their own car down the track? Nope.

Without a doubt in this instance the towelboy is an actual part of the team, just like the waterboy so yes I'd say to pick on them for saying they had a part in the win is wrong. In the end its all semantics and your pov. I don't really care, its just funny to see people continually picking on something so minuscule.

It's all in how you word it. If you said "My Chevy kicked *** today at the track", you're not implying direct ownership of whatever vehicle was out there, simply that your brand did well. That's the way I see it atleast but I'm not an English major, math and science is my forte thus my engineering major

My whole point was not that we needed an English lesson, moreso that everyone knows what people mean when they're talking about their team. Pick on the morons who think either team has a snowballs chance in hell at winning a SB in the near future rather knit-pick some lardass wearing a mullet's grammar.

Either way these threads have provided me with plenty of entertainment over the last couple of weeks that I've been bored out of my mind. It's interesting to see how twisted some peoples thought process is.

My (our) whole point is that his self-involving use of WE and I are comical, and are part of our own entertainment to clown him about. There really are fanatics out there that believe that their cheering or yelling at the TV somehow affect the game being played. LOL. We just wanted him to be sure to understand that he wasn't actually involved here.

Engineering degree > Engineering major.

Engineering degree > Engineering major.

Hey I'm working on it, slowly but surely

I moved out after I graduated hs and have been out ever since. I took a 5 year hiatus from college and just started going back 2 years ago at 9-12 hrs a semester so its slow going but I've got a wife, kid and mortgage to pay for in addition to tuition. I already work in the industry of my degree just have to get that piece of paper to bust through the glass ceiling. IMO real world experience > greenhorn scholars

Jimmy Johnson won those Super Bowls, not Jerry. Barry Switzer came in and won a SB using Jimmy's players. Ever since then they haven't done anything.

Jimmy only won with the talent that jerry paid for...without all the hall of famers on that team they wouldn't have won ****.
Jimmy didn't do a damn thing after leaving dallas, good coach but had to have beast players and a owner to pay them.

Missed NHL playoffs by 1 game/ 2 points

If anything the colts have been on the decline since dungee retired. If you notice anything alot of teams have gotten better, hell look at the points spread of all the games this weekend.
for some reason i find this hard to believe. out of all the teams in the NFL, if there are any fans that live in the past it would be the cowboys fans. i mean just look at all these b/s threads and see how many times yall bring up SB's and playoff games that yall won waaaaaay back in the past! you made me lol hahaha

also im a little confused to what team you are talking about that has not won **** ever. last I checked both the colts and the saints have won superbowls more recent then the cowgirls. so to say they have no done **** is just retarted. you sir are an idiot.
