So for yall that have been on the tour, the event starts on the 2nd in detroit, and stays there for the day? we would roll out the morning of the third to the next stop, and stay there for the day/night? then rinse, repeat, ect?

just making sure i dont book the wrong nights for hotels, like i think i almost did.

 

^ You are correct. The driving part starts on Sunday.

 

I wish they would move it a week. I'd love to take one of my kids and go, but they are still in school for part of that week.

 

We hope to have our 78 Trans Am ready for the Tour. But we won't be doing the long haul. I live way down in deep, deep, like 5 minutes from Mexico deep Texas....lol. So we plan to meet the tour in Oklahoma and do the last leg of the tour to Arlington with other local cruisers. We might go a little higher depending on where the unlisted locations will be.

 

We are less than a month away now. Are there going to be some groups getting together for the drive up to Detroit?

Thought I would throw this out there just to get the ball rolling on setting up a group.
Here's my plan:
Leave Greenville, TX 8 am(6/1/12)
Be in Texarkana at around 10am
stop for the night at Terre Haute, IN (I have an aunt there, so no hotel)
Leave Terre Haute around 8am (6/2/12)
arrive in Milford around 2pm in time to pick up credentials and punch time card.

 

I like to join a group going to Stillwater and cruise back to Arlington.

 

Im leaving on the 31st, early/mid morning, driving to bowling green and staying the night. Hitting up the corvette museum, then we are driving to detroit. Might try to catch a ball game that night, or the next, yankees are at comerica those days.

 

TTT Less than 2 weeks! Anyone else heading out the morning of June 1st?

 

With work I am not sure I'll be off, way to much stuff going on. I am going to try and make the last day in Arlington though.

 

I cant make the long haul but I'm heading from college station up to still water on the 7th anyone from houston coming through here enroute that way on thursday or meeting at points further north in dallas we could convoy with.
