Default Beware Of Scammer: "fox16"

I sent a sent a $120 cashiers check to Brian Hebert aka fox16 on Sept. 22 for an LS6 cam that he was supposedly selling. I included the correct return address on the envelope and via text. He said he shipped it on Sept. 27 but then "returned to his footsteps". He said he was off shore and that his "chic" was the one shipping it. So she shipped it out again on Oct. 8 but 2 more weeks of waiting he said that it was in Houston, TX somewhere. He said his chic was going to pick it up and that he would just deliver it to Dallas since he had already lost on shipping. I found it impossible that the same package with the correct address, a business address by the way, from Spring, TX to Dallas would not make it two times in a row. Well after waiting some more I finally got on here and searched his old posts.
Apparently this guy has a history of shady business so I texted him back asking for a refund. He kept giving me the run around and so on Nov. 5 he said he was on his way to Dallas. Well a few hours later, he sent me another text saying that he would try to ship it one more time. He said he would get me the tracking number as soon as he left the postal service. Well its Nov. 21st and I still haven't received the cam, money, nor a text.

I probably wont see my money or cam anymore so I just wanted everyone to beware of this dip **** scammer if he sends you a PM saying he has the parts you need. His last activity was earlier today. BTW, most of the conversations about the transaction was made via texting. I have all the texts saved on my phone though.

You have his phone number, address, and supposed name? Why not call the police or take a ride down there?

Yeah Ive been lucky to only lose $50 to a scammer on here. Like stated, you can gather all the detail you have and call the Spring Police to file a report. For a 120$ they likley wont send the Swat team over but will get the paper trail started.

Said the same thing, seems hes washing it in the picture, assuming thats him anyways...probably why he hasnt had time to ship out your part!

In all seriousness, sucks big time that he is doing that I could never understand why people do that stuff but what goes around comes around.

Thats why you should not buy stuff online from private sellers unless you can pick it up personally to see the merchandise. Forget all that shipping and paypal stuff.

Dumb question, but why is he still allowed to sell on this site? Does he have to go to jail first?

Yeah it sucks getting scammed buying things from members on this site. Sometimes they just send you defective junk and it's not worth fighting over when you realize it a few months later during install. Ask me how I know. What goes around comes around eh Dirty.
