MPG Low.. Hi, I'm new to this site. Moved on from LS1.com to this site. I am not sure where the v6 forum is but here is my problem.
A 99 3.8 engine getting straight 15mpg city. Houston is a busy area but not for 15mpg. The engine is fresh built, bottom to top. 8k on it. Bored .30 over. New everything including sensors. No codes. Fuel regulator and filter new. I'm still getting crapppy mpg. Its like driving a damm truck. I got a v6 bc I'm in school, so I need to save $$ for college.
I noticed that my fuel gauge somtimes doesn't know where it should be, i moves up and down when it feels like it. maybe the fuel sending unit is bad and im being tricked into thinking im getting bad MPG but im really not due to the sending unit.
Any thoughts or discussion?
