Crazy oil pressure
Just installed a melling high volume oil pump and now my pressure is over 100 when I rev up motor,
Checked when 180 degrees, I love the 55 psi at idle though

My car with this pump runs 60 at idle and over 80 spun up, which is too much IMO. That is not only power robbing and heating up the oil, but can wash out bearings.
A ported stock pump is the best bet IMO. The excess volume of the Melling isn't needed, and if you just put a lighter spring in it, it pressurizes and dumps the oil, heating it up in the process.
