I would be careful using them. Daniel screwed my brother over on a rear end and a couple of others on this forum as well. He has changed s/n's a few times but has been busted every time. He still posts on here from what I've seen but he will get busted again soon.

Good luck and I would have someone else check it out before purchasing.

I was actually looking at his long blocks on Craigslist yesterday too.

I would ask him who did the machine work. He is probably taking worn LS1's and re-ringing them and putting in new bearings himself. If so that is why they are so cheap and there is nothing wrong with that.

I have "heard" that he screwed people over on here but I haven't seen the threads nor do I know any of the details. I have had several dealings with him myself that were all positive. I sent a friend over to his shop a couple weeks ago to buy an exhaust from him and had no problems whatsoever, my friend got a great condition exh at a really good price from him.

I have a feeling those bad deals were probably more related to an ex business partner of his. Or so I vaguely heard anyway, that doesn't really hold water either.

Who knows, I only know from my personal dealings with him.

I am interested to know the details of the rear end deal that went south also.

Meee too lol. And out of curiosity.. what was your rev limiter set at? were you low on oil? What year is your car, or more specifically the motor?

I am always very curious when rod bearings spin as to what the circumstances were. I have spun them before do to all the typical reasons they can spin, I have yet to do it in an LS1 though (of course now that I said that the next time out I will spin one sure as **** lol)

Have heard a lot of good things about this place and not 1 bad thing. If I didn't do my own work and didn't have a buddy that is a badass tuner I would go there.

body is a 99, has 853 heads consistent with the year... tranny went about 400 miles ago but it wasnt the original trans either. Shift at 5800, had fresh oil change, less than 1k on it. Mobil 1 full synthetic as soon as it started to warm up a bit... 10/30, delco filter. Spit coolant all over the driveway but temp gauge never went above 200. Just got real weak at about 120mph and fell on its ***.... metal on my dipstick to and its glittery lookin now... def a bearing. Not sure of cars history, I got it from a Craigslist car flipper who pawned it off to me... "lolo07" hes still sellin **** on here. I put about 15k on it since I bought it....

Damn that sucks, sounds like you did everything on your end you could to keep that from happening. Oh well time to go bigger and badder.

Rear he sold was said to be in perfect shape with no gear whine or anything. The car had dumped duals and a mild cam and you could hear the gear whine OUTSIDE of the car. That's how bad it was. Tried to get the money back and take the rear back to him and he said he had already used the money "same day" to fix his windshield. He had no suggestions to make it right on any count. He has sent me MANY pm's to stop posting about it and that he would make it right after the fact he was blasted.

The others were parts he "sold" to others online and never sent the parts. He has been banned from here before for that same fact.

'Mine' was a personal dealing with Daniel, NOT Chris aka Carless Chris. Everyone won't have the same experience but we can always help raise awareness. I didn't say not to use him, I just said to be careful. How you go about your dealings is your thing. Again, good luck.

SQR is pretty busy with no one dedicated to answering phones for the most part. Leave a voice mail and Daniel (Daniel at SQR NOT Protree) and crew will call you back soon I'm sure.
