I would log in as early as possible like 6am to get a spot. It filled up within an hour when I tested.

It's basically mechanical aptitude, basic math, technical reading comprehension, problem solving. It's a little tricky but not very difficult.

LOL.

If you are not good at math; you won't pass.
If you can not look at shapes and determine what it will look like put together; you will fail
If you are not good with puzzles; you will fail
If you are a male; your chances are low
If you are not minority; your chances are low

Is there any way to find out exactly what time the registration opens? I don't mind getting on at midnight if that's when it opens, but I could not find any info anywhere on exactly what time. I am already registered with the site, just have to get on there the 29th to apply for a testing slot.

Hmmm...that is weird. Maybe it's a typo. I'll look into it.

From what I was told from my buddy there was the slots generally open between 4-7am. Don't be surprised if their server freezes as well. Good luck to all, for I will be one attempting to get a slot as well!

See that's bs, they need to announce a start time. Are we supposed to just stay up all night and click on it every hour past midnight? I might like to actually sleep a little bit Saturday night

You couldn't book a slot until 3:00am. My cousin was lucky enough to select which day and time he wanted. I guess he was at the right place, at the right time. He said it was hard as hell to logon, but when he finally did he just kept refreshing the page until the slots were made available.

That was a joke right?

I'm in inspection and have been up and down both sides of the ship channel, and for a larger facility tied to a HUGER facility, BOP operators were all pretty casual. Hot side Cold side BOPX it all seemed pretty chill except for the heaters always being in repair.

I also know a few guys in operations that have been out there for a while. They all seem to like it ok.

I haven't been out there on site since those contractors killed BOPX with the overhead crane control on the top deck. Do they still have smoke shacks in the units next to the operator shelters?

Anyway, to the people that get in to test don't limit yourself to the EXMO Baytown facility. Check off all of the stuff for Pipeline as well as the Beaumont plant. If you're on the East side of town it's only about an hour's drive over there.

Good Luck!

I got on and registered at about 5 this morning, there was still a decent selection of slots available, I'm sure most were probably gone by 7-8 though.

If you're on the waiting list, show up the day of the test. There will be a lot of people who take slots but don't show up. Happens every time.
