said screw it getting rid of the formula
well I built the car 4 yrs ago from v6 to ls1 when I got home from afghanistan.
Black t top formula has been my dream car since high school.
Well motor blew about 3-4 months ago and decided to do lq9 swap, been building motor slowly since few days after ls went due to spinal injury, back surgery, and new baby boy. I made sure motor spun freely and every thing was together properly, finally got it back in car yesterday and it wouldnt spin with starter so i put big *** 1/2 breaker bar ive got on it and it takes me and a buddy both pulling to spin just a lil bit and it bounces over not smooth at all.
I pulled oil pan today and first main cap and still wont spin, at this point with as much money, effort, and time away from my kids I am done with it unless I can get help. I had a spinal fusion done on my neck the 6th of may and not even supposed to be touching this thing but citys not happy about it in drive way for months.
I will be parting out all the aftermarket suspension and motor soon.

A buddy of mine just put an lq4 into his Z and he had the same problem. After tearing it down twice it turned out that the Chevy dealer game him the wrong head gaskets. They gave him a set of ls1/ls6 gaskets and a piston was hitting it. He replaced them and now it works great.

My freind had the same problem on lq4,he taught it was the rotating assembly so he took it apart and put it back, only to find out it was the wrong head gaskets the dealer had gave him.

That's why you order everything for a 01 up 3/4 6.0 truck when you start ordering parts for the LQ series engines. Guarantee you the dealer guy heard him mention he had a camaro and started looking up parts for the car vs the truck because they figured he didn't know what he was actually looking for. Food for thought
