Foster isn't trade-able cause no one would want him. He's a broke down RB and if you think AJ isn't you're crazy. If it's a for a 3rd rounder you do it. I could see the argument for AJ because he's been here for his whole career and is still good. But Foster, really? Good HEALTHY RBs are a dime a dozen in the draft. AJ has some value and to help this team for the future you get what you can for him.

The biggest issue with trading folks on this team is money issues. Their (Foster, Schaub, AJ, Cushing, J-Joe) contracts are full of guaranteed money. We have some pretty bad cap space issues.

I disagree on Andre Johnson. I think he still has 3 solid years left. And, half the teams in the league would be foaming at the mouth to get Arian Foster next season, but the Texans won't and can't do it because of money issues. Teams would not balk because of his performance or health. They'd balk, because of his contract.

Lay down the crack pipe and back away from the computer.

Do you realize how many teams in the league would die to get their hands on Foster or Dre? C'MON MAN!

Dunno- can't remember the last time I said Foster won us a game.

Disagree on AJ- he is a leader on the team and an outstanding performer. He goes and every other good player on the team starts asking questions about their future.

Besides- looks like we will get at least one good draft pick.

I don't mind the cap hit for 1 year. We've endured 8 seasons of **** football so what's one more?

I don't buy it and no other teams would either. You would get ZERO teams that would trade for Foster at the present time. Unless of course our team doctors had siblings on other teams.

I'm kind of with you at this point. It sucks.

This next draft will be extremely important for us. So many holes to fill.

Yep.

I think that those not close to the game or didn't play the game at a high level just are ignorant to solely blaming Kubiak and Schaub. This team has a lot more holes to seal then just those two. While they might be the biggest, we need to fix a lot more than that.

I'd say 2-3 years until we're in the hunt for an AFC Chamionship again. Sure, the Chiefs got it done in 1 year with Andy Reid and Alex Smith, but that's an exception to the norm. The reality is this team should have never been #3 in the power rankings at the start. If you believed that, you need to have your head examined.

I agree. There are a bunch of holes, but those 2 stand out. Watching Schaub screw up constantly and watching Kubiaks predictable, pathetic play calling when the offense is on the field is hard to ignore so most people key on that. In my mind, special teams and defensive secondary are next on the list.

Brooks Reed needs to be moved inside next to Cushing and replaced with an OLB who can actually edge rush and constantly put pressure on an opposing QB.
J-Joe has sucked this year, Brandon Harris is below average and Brice McCain sucks buttholes. Kareem Jackson is our best CB. He gets a lot of **** from people, but he really has improved and is the least of our worries at the CB position.

Manning is ok at safety and Swearinger is looking like he will turn out pretty good.

Antonio Smith will be too expensive to keep, so we are going ot need another DE/T.

Special teams is horrible save for Lechler. Marciano has got to go...should have went last season.

Offensive line is pretty much swiss cheese. Wade Smith will be gone (not that he will be missed at this point).

Owen D is too expensive and we need to release him to free up money. Graham should fill his void just fine.

Ben Tate will go get his money somewhere else. Arian is a question mark. We will probably have to use a 2-3 rounder on a RB.

I think our wide receiver set is fine.

QB...I really like Case, but he needs to show improvement or I think we need to use our top 5 draft pick on a QB...Bridgewater, Mariota, Manziel. I can't help but feel bad for Case, because I don't think his coach (Kubiak) knows how to ******* combat a blitz or mix anything up. Add the fact that the Texans pose absolutely no threat with the run and that makes for a bad situation for your QB to be in. I think Case would thrive if he had a little more protection from his O-Line and a healthy Arian in the backfield.

Kubiak - Predictable, unable to make good decisions, too loyal to good ole' boy players/coaches (Schaub, Marciano), horrible clock management, non-risk taker unless it's a time when it makes no sense to take a risk (this points back to bad decision making).

Schaub - No need to type anything here.

Draft:
QB, OLB, Right Tackle, RB, DE, CB, S
Trade up if needed.

Or we take a gamble and not draft a QB. Use 1st pick on an OLB, and then try to build a fortress of an O-Line around Keenum by drafting O-Linemen in rounds 2 & 3.

It's just too hard to say what we need to do in the draft, because we simply need too much. I guess it depends on what direction the new coach wants to go. I would assume a new head coach would want to hand select his QB.

T,
I wouldn't mind Sumlin. He has experience with Case and Manziel, so you have options on that front.

Kevin sumlin, would be a godsend, someone who makes his players compete for their positions and runs a nasty offense. Case Keemun has the talent to be a Super Bowl QB, he just needs playing time and to be worked with, and honestly I wouldn't wanna stay in a city where if you mess up once the coach takes you out for a guy who's sucked all year but is in because he's friends with the coach. No player should deal with that.

Hey, guys. I think the Texans might be a really bad football team. I'm going to look into this and get back with y'all.

Bob McNair will let Kubiak stay as long as he wants. They'll just get him a offensive coordinator, new ST coach and another extension. Then look in the offseason for another has been player and not worry about doing a complete physical.
