I was at Kennedale last Sunday, should be good racing weather tomorrow. 2-8 weather permitting the could stay open till 10....is what I heard at the track last Sunday.

Sad day for Dallas Raceway

With Deep Regret, Dallas Raceway was sold and will no longer be a racing facility. We, the Dallas Raceway staff, appreciate everyone who supported us the past two years. We are still getting a date together for the end of 2013 Banquet. Stay tuned for that announcement. We are sorry and Ken tried all he could to continue to race for the 2014 season, thus why no announcement until now.

Maybe most didn't notice, this track had lots of political and local issues, the events I attended there were very poorly ran. This is the only track that was allowing the low-life promoters of the area hold races while all other tracks banned them. While I hate to see a local track go, especially the only other 1/4mi track outside of Ennis, its been on the wall for a while.

HOw much for the motor? Just picked up a 02 SS with a spun bearing and looking at new engine combos. Any chance the new owner would let a couple people make some "private passes". Would be willing to sign over all my rights for the chance

Texasglock23, I heard rumors that your fathers cousin is going to turn it into a wrecking yard or a parking lot for a trucking company, is there any truth to that? Hopefully he is trying to get it going as a functional racetrack again, I liked that place.

It's already been turned into a salvage yard.




He won't be allowing anyone to run on it due to liability issues. If I were closer to him, I would ask if I could setup something. I am not close to him, and haven't seen him since 2003 actually.

it was a great deal, but my father actually missed a tad better deal since he gave me the wrong info, a 6.0 with 317 heads and trans went for $850

I paid more than that! The motor is actually being traded for labor on my bagged truck.
