Humidy..pfft! Dig you in a big swimming pool and some palms, enjoy the tropics most of the year. I have stay vacations in my backyard all the time. I like to go to Caribbean and just love the hot humid weather in general

9 years as a IT professional, but I lost my job in August. I am now a long haul trucker moving cars.

Exactly. I'm pretty conservative and never really noticed the hippy part of Austin when I moved there, unless you head closer to downtown. I'm originally from California, and now live in Houston. I hate Houston. Many of the people here are incredibly rude and pushy compared to LA, especially on the road. Many of the guys I work with have moved from out of state to Houston (oil field guys) and they also hate Houston. I would take Austin over Houston any day. Just my opinion.

Definitely gets humid in DFW. It is tolerable though. If you have property with some good shade from big trees you will be in good shape. I live right by Texas Motor Speedway and love that it feels like its away from everything (see stars at night) yet you can still get to all the big city life in a short car ride in several directions.
