91+meth.

I'm not leaving the water. My Explorer just got some nice upgrades. My skiff placed 2nd in TIFT a few weeks back.

Thanks, Neil! It's long overdue for sure! Haven't seen any C5's breaking any hearts these days at TI, ETC, but I hope to be fairly competive in the C-D team rankings.
All is well, hit 150k miles on it last month,I just can't seem to let it go like you do. I've been looking at some C6's, but no bites yet. I'm still spending too much on the truck and still looking to drop a LS2 or 3 into it. I'm glad your back out to play,it's been a little boring on here. L8R DFLASH

Welcome back to the C5 trash club...
Thanks Allen! I see you finally went through with the auto and running good numbers! Yep, I'm back to the C5 trash club! I'm flying out Sat to pick it up. I think I'm going to leave the motor alone since it seems like a solid car and just add 100-125 shot to it to bring up the torque.

It's a Novi 2500@22psi now, but the compression is 8.5:1. I'd like to have it at 10.5:1, but no way with the pistons and I'm not changing the brand new block right now. So a head swap is in order.

Both my boats are in SPI. I've fished almost every week for the last 14 months except the last 3 weeks. Went 13-14 weeks being down there, so I know how it goes! And it's fixing to be prime time down there in about 2 weeks. You should come down!

I'm guessing you're going with a big *** single setup like Ty?
Man I'd leave that setup alone.. It sounds like a safe/reliable combo... I'd just get you some drag wheels/tires and run it as is..

Cheapest bang for the buck would be throw a single nozzle kit on it.. 150hp... Rest of the combo stays as is since it's proven..

Sounds like its a nasty ride with a 2500 on it.

Fwiw, I also see 21-22 psi, WITH 10.0-1 comp and I still didn't make much over 900..and my blower is bigger then a 2500..

You know how it is man, all that matters is what's on the time slip, not the Dyno sheet.... I was beating 1100hp cars at the track..lol

I'm shooting for 8.90@155 on my next T&T outing.... Then I may put a small plate on it...

That sounds like the wise thing to do. Probably not worth it to tear in to a perfectly working combo the more I think about it. Adding a 125 shot sounds about right should bring the car up quite a bit on tq.

Goodluck on

Motor #1 is toast. Raced a bit tonight, after refilling the meth tank 2 nights ago. Tested it at the end of some pulls. Figured 2 nights wouldn't make a difference, but I drained the tank, AFR never went high and meth indicator was on. But no meth. Street tune was off on the car. Was eating meth in 6th gear at 1700 rpm under full throttle. No reason for that.

Going to build a stronger 347 now and tune it right.

Ouch! That sucks Mark. I was just coming into this thread to see when this car was going to be free to line up.

Sorry to hear about your motor going on you, Mark.
No new 1/4 times for me. Once I got the car finished, Dallas Raceway shut down for good. I got kicked off at Kennedale (1/8) with much less power (no cage) and I don't want to make the drive for just one run.

It's ok Scott, I've got a new shortblock that will be here before the end of the week. I've got fishing trips booked the next few weeks out of SPI, so hopefully the car will be done by then and Bill can tune it if he doesn't have any carnage this weekend. Nitrous kit got here, but not sure if I'll add it with the new block. The setup should make close to 1000 so not sure I want to push a basic 4 bolt setup past that.

I see you're still around in standard fashion, James.

Have you lined out that F2?

**** no. Had the motor out of it since April. Pulled it for bearings (nice job Dallas perf) and found 7 cracked pistons. Really hard to get motivated right now. Might start back on it in a couple of weeks.

Man, that sucks. One of the best looking C6 cars around and always was a head turner at the track. Thanks for that radiator years back.

The days of SI to T trim 600-700hp setups were so much easier, and fun. Not near the worry of blowing up/breaking stuff.

Thanks for the compliment. She still looks good to me sitting on jack stands, missing fenders, hood and bumper.
I really thought about taking the F2 off and putting a d1sc back on it with a stock block. Every time I think about going back down to 750ish I think about how much fun 1000 is when everything is going right. So I'm going to do it one more time before I start de-tuning. If I tear it up again, I'm done with anything over 750.

Damn James, 7 pistons! Gawdamn. It was always a great looking car. You've lived out here for how long? I've never seen that car trolling around Katy/Fulshear.

That's cause it's on jack stands. You'll see its tail lights pretty soon. Pistons getting ordered tomorrow.
