2015 Ram broken into last night
2015 Ram broken into last night good morning peeps.
just venting out here. I had my rear window glass broken last night and taken for my tuning laptop and HP tuner gear. this was outside of a pool house I go to frequently (since 2003).
my truck is brand new not even 1500 miles on her and now she has a broken window.
I am more upset about the HP tuner interface and data I had on my computer more than anything. I was tuning my friends car last night and decided to go out for a bit before going home.
the bag was an old bag and was not even a computer case. they took other stuff too but I am not too worried about those items.
I dont even know what to think. this sucks.

do not leave any bags in your car even if they are not nice looking.

Sucks to hear man I know the feeling some jackass broke into my truck a few years back and stole a bunch of my stuff including my in dash and just completely messed up my dash hope you get your stuff back somehow
I dont know how I could get it back. I am probably going to have to purchase a new HP pro interface and laptop.
they also took a case with pool sticks, Ipad and a camera with recent pictures of my kids playing in the snow and other personal fotos.
I bet mine are pounded somewhere in a pawn shop.
the damage is not as bad though, I am having a window installed at 1pm.,
I used the laptop for work, it was secured and locked, they probably have to do a factory reset to be able to use it, unless there is another way of doing it that would allow them to see all the information there.

i typically hide all my crap. this was not on the open for people to see. someone was searching for stuff to steal.

Sucks to hear had my rims stolen off my truck a few months ago it was a crappy feeling.
Apparently these thieves today have some universal alarm pad or whatever for factory alarm systems, so no breaking windows is needed. Someone broke into my mother in law brand new Acura tl all on video. Walked up to the car hit the unlock button sat in the car for 7 minutes going thru everything (nothing of value was in the car) got out locked it back up and went down the street, stood infront of every house seeing what other cars the remote worked on. Apparently 6 cars on their street got broken into.
Seems like nothing is safe these days.

no kidding Zone, I work very hard for what I have and hate to see other jackasses take it so easily. This could have been worst I guess, I need to take more precautions, but what can you do against a broken window, thats pretty gutsy of them idiots.

Sounds like someone watched him and knew there was a computer in the truck. People don't smash windows over a ratty old bag. Heck, my truck got broken into twice, and they ignored the old backpack that had a laptop and a gun in it. And these theives knew how to get in a dodge without breaking the window. It's not hard on Dodges.
Hell, they don't even have to smash a window half the time. They got into mine by shoving a screwdriver into the lock cylinder and prying up to pop the lock rod. Mine got broken into in broad daylight in front of a crowded fast food place. The only thing visible was a radio. Freaking scumbag thieves.
i was tuning a transom at the owners house, then I went to the restaurant and parked in front of the restaurant/pool house. probably right that someone saw me load the backpack in there and decided they needed it.
I am glad they did not take my truck though.
