A good while back, there was a facility in Jacksonville, Arkansas where you could rent a stall in a garage for hours or a day. It had lifts and tools, etc too. Is there anything like that in the Dallas, TX area? I don't really need the tools nor even a lift for that matter. I just need a place I can work on my z28 periodically. The apts where I live won't allow vehicle maintenance on the premises.
I havent seen anything like that since I was stationed at Ft. Knox. They had bays for rent, hourly (oil changes) or long term (engine swaps), with tools, tire machines, and just about any other tool to work on a car. Id love to find another place like that but alas.... no go.
Done it with my double bay shop and my own garage.
In todays world its too dangerous to offer to strangers due to insurance and what not. For the most part if you don't have tools or already know someone with a lift you probably shouldn't be tackling these jobs by yourself.

There is a place here in Denton that's still up and running. Pretty small, but anyway. http://www.mybayauto.com/

I just put my forged 5.3 in the car a little over a month ago, but I have to -
- run the -8an feed and -6an return fuel lines
- Install the twin pumps in the tank
- Finish installing the Hotside
- Tune it (HPTuners)
- Measure the driveshaft length and order it from Dennys
- Get the radiator hoses, etc installed.
- Put the interior back into it.

I do not remember the name.
If memory serves, it was right off the Air Force Base exit from Hwy 67 when traveling from NLR to Jacksonville. I think there's a convenience store on the site now.
