Default Machine work/shortblock assembly in DFW

Tried just searching on here and google but didn't come up with anything newer than posts from 2013. I've been referred to H&H in Ft. Worth by a friend of mine that had a 6.0L rebuilt by them but the motor has never been put into a vehicle so I have no idea what their quality of work is. Also been referred to Midsouth Engines by my uncle but it seems like they do a lot of HD and diesel engine stuff and not so much on the LS side of things, but they did assure me that they could get the job done for me without issue. Im just looking for a good reputable shop with reasonable pricing that is familiar with LS engines. THe closer to Arlington/Mansfield/Waxahachie the better. Thanks in advance.

call Long Racings Engines in Irving. THey have done small jobs for me in the past and all turned out well. They have not done any machine work or shortblock assembly for me.

I know it is not what you asked for, but I figure it is better than nothing.

I was actually advised to stay away from Kim Barr by two people that have personally had work done by him in the past. Maybe the issues that they had with his work have been resolved by now but it does make me a bit skeptical to give them a call when both of the guys that have told me to steer clear of him I have known for several years.

I can respect understand that.. your money, your vehicle. I will tell you that my engine builder actually sent my block back to Kim not because the work was shoddy.. But because my builder is such a perfectionist... Came out great and I have been beating on it the past couple of years... GL w your search.
