Are you going to be insulating this place at all? I realize you are in Texas so it wouldn't be to keep the cold out but maybe keep the heat out in the summers?

Yes, I am. Unfortunate I don't have the 1k to insulate with the rolls. I'll be using some panels later.

That's what I'll end up doing when I finally get around to building a shop. However I'll probably buy a do it yourself kit and spray it on my own. I sprayed portions of my mom's house and it turned out really good.

Spray foam? I have a buddy who's had it in his shop for over 10 years and it's doing great yet. I can see the open cell having issues because anything that touches it will collapse it a little. This will just continue over life.

The closed cell foam is actually a very sturdy hard substance.

The closed cell is almost rock hard, feels like spray in bedliner. The open cell will deteriorate. I wasnt sure on spray foam and then several shops I tune at had it done and and a couple friends and they all swear by it. It was night and day difference when i got it done in temperature.

Well, I'll take the cheapest option that works. Time will tell. The escalade getting stolen didn't help any.
