lm7 build help needed To start off i have an 04 GTO. i am wanting to do a lm7 swap and build the motor. i want to be around 500hp all motor. i dont have a budget but i'd like the build to be decent price. Im wanting to forge internals, dont know if i wanna bore it, i wanna change heads and get them milled, arp studs, change tb and run bigger injectors. Really wanting to achieve around 500hp (not too the wheels) and not spray.
Youll need more than 5.3 liters to get there. An ls1 bore would get you there with a much smaller cam. Lookin at the mid range cams like our high lift asa cam and 243 or ported heads.
If you bore to a 5.7 with CNC ported 243/799 heads you can get there as long as you have free flowing exhaust and intake. I can put a long block together that will do it for you for $5097, If you have Headers and an LS6 intake(you should if you have an 04) it will make 505 FWHP.
