I have a 2005 single cab turbo truck that keeps going into reduced engine power. I need someone to fix my truck! I’ve swapped TB taken to multiple shops. Where the shop is doesn’t really matter to me. DFW, San Antonio, Houston, Austin. Would like it fixed, retuned, dynoed.
Does the engine make a "pop" sound out the exhaust before it goes into reduced power?
There is an airflow table in diagnostic section that needs to be adjust for turbo applications. The table prevents a "run away" DBW throttle, if it sees higher airflow than expected it goes into limp mode (throttle barely does anything). Mine was doing this, and the exhaust would make a backfire right before it went into limp mode
I haven’t been driving it. It was just sitting in the driveway idling while I was cleaning up the interior. Went inside for like 5min and it turned off by itself. Cycled the key and REP showed on the info screen.
I had this happen this week to me. I swapped the TBSS on a 6.0 truck motor. It looks like it is the first gen used X-link i have. I reset the computer and all is well. Seems to be a common issue with the x-link when it is hot and humid. Like it is all the time here. Try resetting the computer and see what happens.
Finally had a chance to mess with the truck, pulled codes. P0160. I cleared the code, it’ll run and idle for about 15-30 min then it’ll shut off and REP and code come back. Did some research, saw that it could be the tune, sensor or harness.
