Tremec TKO 600 issues 
1st off I bought a brand new TKO 600 from Liberty Gear & Trans i had them do the upgrades to the trans to prevent the normal TKO 600 problems with them not wanting to shift into 3rd gear about 6,000 rpms . So the transmission worked good for the 1st year then it started messing up. After i have been driving the car & everything warms up the trans will not want to shift into 3rd gear without grinding if your running over 3,000 rpms its now starting to do it from the 3rd to 4 th gear shifts. I have a new clutch & throw out bearing so that's not the problem. I have changed out the tremec shifter to a Hurst Black Jack & now a MGM short throw & i still get the same results of grinding into 3rd & 4th. Has anyone else had this issue with there TKO 600 ? (Also who in HOUSTON, Tx is a good reputable service shop that is familiar with the TKO 600 trans? ) My car is a Pro Touring 1980 Z28 with a new LS-3 with a TSP cam swap & i upgraded the lifters with Johnson 2116 STR Lifters,,,, Any help or ideas with this ongoing issue will be greatly appreciated.
if you don't mind travelling a bit I would recommend Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance, I believe he is in Hurst now... might be worth a call at least, he is an honest and knowledgeable guy in my experience dealing with him
