ls1 cooling problem
There's many things that can cause overheating and I would start with the easiest and work from there. It could be as simple as trapped air in the system, a defective water pump or logged radiator or heater core to something serious like a blown head gasket.
How hot is it running? You can start by pressure testing the system. I just did this to my nephews ride. I got the kit from O’ Riley’s.
