Raced a C6 yesterday

Raced a C6 yesterday My son and I were going to get my headers installed yesterday morning when we saw the silver C6 that we had sceen the day befor parked at a buisness pull out on to 249. He pulled out just in front of us and he was going 70 or so in a hurry. I cought up to him and droped it into third and slowed down to about 60 MPH and kept it there. I was next to him in third for about 15 seconds or so and was about to drop it in 6th gear and cruis off. I didn`t think he wanted to run. All of a sudden he catches me off guard and nails it and gets 1/2 a car legnth on me befor I responded. (talk about sleeping at the light) I thought I was going to get my a$$ whiped,but he only put a aditional 1/2 car legnth on me through 4th gear( my front bumper was about even with his rear bumper ). I let off right adfter that but was suprised at how well my car ran. I never felt so good about losing a race 
. My mods are a 2002 Z with all bolt ons but pully and headers. I also have a Speed Demon tune job.I had headers installed yester day and I installed my H-pipe today. I hope I can catch him now that I have my headers.

Who is Garret? Is that the dude that raced me? Dark tinted windows in a silver C6? My son and I gave him a thumbs up after the race. He seems to hang out at a used car lot on 249 with several F-bodies and Mustanges. Man I love the way they look. From the back they look like a Ferrari or a Viper. Man I want one.
