Default WS6 mod question!

hey guys i'm new here and to the ls1 world! i read somewhere that cutting out both baffles on a ws6's hood will allow water to get in. the mod said to only cut out the rear baffle to keep the water from getting in. is this true? is this mod worth doing or what do you guys recommend on the baffle mod? thanks...

My baffles are out in mine and ive never had any problems (knock on wood) you have to drill the rivits out and then pull it off cause its epoxyed (sp) on there...I would say do it since its a free mod...

I felt a good kick above 45mph after de-baffling mine ..

I did buy some rain blockers when it does rain though .. $25 little plexiglass pop-ins .. Someone on the other board made it and sold it ..

PS .. If de-baffling the hood didn't help then the BGRA kit would not sell as well as it does.

I think it helps. If it didn't noone would do it. I dont think the SSRA kit worked as well when I had it on my car. I think the strait shot of the hood into the air box is better. I dont really know that it is but I just like it better. Why buy something when you can do it for free.
