Anyone Autocross (today?) I went out and autocrossed today at Gulf Greyhound w/ SCCA, and was wondering if anyone else was out there. There were quite a few LT1s and LS1s out there. I ran in the first heat of the day, and worked the 2nd. I was driving this...
Thats awesome. I was wanting to look into some autocross but i didnt know if they did any here. Let me know when somthing like that is going on. Is there anything to join or sign up to?

Damn!!!! I completely forgot about it!!! A friend of mine and I where meaning to go and check it out. I plan on Auto crossing my car, but want to see what its like first. Everytime that i see i sharp turn on the highway, i drop a few gears and get ready for the turn, its one of the best feelings, that i get, taking a 40mph turn at over 100+ mph. anyone going next month???? Let me know. . . . . maybe we can meet up???

Yeah, it's my dad's vette. My S-10 goes straight ALOT better than it turns (atleast compared to the vette). I can't afford that many toys, but my dad let's me play with the vette sometimes

The new Vette Brakes suspension is AWESOME. Although, with the 315s out back and the cheaper tires up front, it had quite a bit of push. Easily corrected with a little throttle. It's STIFF!!! More than once (atleast once in 2nd, and once in 3rd) we have been running it through the gears when a bump snook up on us and the back-end came off the ground as the motor revved freely. I've also had the traction control kick in while backing out of driveways, so I assume the rear tire was off the ground. There is NO body roll. I bumped my head on the roof several times on the way to the track, but it makes it worth it on the track. Flat as can be.
At this point, I'm not a member. I just can't afford to go out there all the time. The tires and the entry fees keep me away. I was at one point, but the slicks went bald, and we lost interest for awhile.

Bizzzatch350 - sorry, I didn't really think the weather was going to hold out so we could run it. I didn't end up calling anyone to let them know. Next time though. Yeah, we cleaned it up, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to keep it clean with those 315s flinging crap all over the rear quarter. I completely forgot to get some pics of it without the numbers on it.
