As said above I have a set of hand ported heads that I have done myself. This is my second set after a trial run with some 853 heads. I didnt go into this blindly, rather put of research into port shapes and conture design. I do alot of fabrication and welding, so the concept comes pretty naturally. Anyways I will have pics over the weekend. But here is a break down. I have taken the intake runners down past to casting lines and removed flaws from the outside into combustion chamber, as well as removed excess alum. in the port gate to aid flow, both top and bottom. I tapered the outside of the valve guides down to the ends and removed excess material at the base. Took out all the acceleration ramps entirely and blended into combustion chamber in the typical swirl fashion. Deshrouded the intake valve in the combustion chamber to aid in flow. Polished combustion chamber and removed "lips" from above valves. Exhaust ports were contured from the combustion chamber out and mirror polished from the valve seat out. The port exits were D shaped.......... There is more stuff I am sure, but thats enough rambling. Point of the matter is that I was going to take these things to have my Manley valves(which came in the mail today) cut in on Monday. But I just so happened to luck on a crazy deal on some 243 heads. Make no mistake you can tell these arent CNC quality, but you can also tell there is alot of intelligent work done that is going aid heavily in flow. With 2.02/1.575 valves expect to see numbers in the 290/220 range. I am selling them with the stock valves(unassembled) but recommend you upgrade for max gains.
