T-56 Tailshaft plug
T-56 Tailshaft plug Does anybody know where you can get a tailshaft plug locally for a T-56? Doing the clutch this weekend and don't want a mess and too lazy to drain the tranny!

I typically just disconnect the drive shaft from the rearend and just leave in in the tail shaft while pulling the trans out. Are you using a lift or do you do it the way I do laying down on the ground?

On the ground! I'm assuming you took off your Y-pipe when taking out your transmission?
A spare yoke would stop the leak, but might not clear the y-pipe. I'm not taking the exhaust for this. I just want to know if anyone sells the plug locally. Is the tailshaft the same as a TH350 (size-wise)?
