Default considering a t56 swap.

just trying to get an estimate of how much it would cost me to convert my A4 to a M6?

IF cheaper, what are my other options?

I had my car converted a few times, A4 to a TH350, then to a M6.

tennessee auto used parts sells a conversion kit for around $1500 if i remember correctly. they are over there--------------------------------------------->

Put a stall converter in it instead of a T56. I was considering this swap as well but was convinced otherwise by a few friends and to this day I am glad that I put a stall in instead of performing the swap. The auto trans and the converter will rob horsepower somewhat but dyno numbers aren't everything.

Yeah but auto cars are no fun from a roll & you don't have gears to bang through......I'm also tired of my automatic....and it is built with a vig 3200 in it. I've cut 1.47 60' times with it but would trade that 60' for six gears any day! My car is more of a street car than a track queen though. I really just want something I can take to a road course, autocross or the drag strip & play.

I'd get a 12 bolt.....you do have to pay to play....but then again, I am consdering selling it & buying something else that already comes with a 6 speed.

the transmission is completely stock...i do more street racing than track racing....my car also hates my transmission...ive blown 2 tranny's so far....and only went back with a 4L60E because of warranty purposes, but now that my warranty is all said and done, ive been leaning more towards a 6 speed....this tranny's also only seen not even 10k miles...and 2 tailshaft extension housings(once on the dyno, once going about 130)..i dont even understand it though, my car does not put out enough horse's to be doing this...im tired of blowing that damn housing, 130+MPH is where the fun begins....i have been considering throwing in a transgo shift kit, a tci 3500 stall, and LS1 Edit..
