Calibration Help Guys I need some help!
I have a 1999 Silverado with a 5.3L. It has 35 inch tires and 4:56 gears on it. I need to get the speedometer calibrated in it but can’t find anyone that has the capabilities. I have tried the Hypertech rout, but apparently someone has changed the calibration before and the tuner will not recognize it as a stock calibration and tells me to call Hypertech, and of course they are no help. Now that POS is married to my VIN and I can’t even get to the menu choices. I have also tried the dealer, but they can’t do it either because they can only program the truck with factory options, 4:56 gears was not a factory option on 1500’s. So I am looking for a custom turner around central Texas that can calibrate my speedometer so I know how fast I’m going and the ABS lights will not come on. If you know of any shop around this area please post it. Thanks!

I'm thinking the best route would be a new junkyard PCM for about a hundred bucks and program that with the Hypertech. You could probably sell your stock PCM with the Hypertech program on it too.

Dealer cant flash it for the 4:56s, not a stock option.
They can flash it back to stock, then the POS Hypertech may work, just hate to pay for that to find out it still wont work.
Was hoping some performance shop would be able to calibrate it, but seems like no one has the capability.
