noob here Hey guys. I just bought a 2000 z28 m6 last week and am loving it. It's completely stock and first thing I was wanting to do is get a adjustable Borla exhaust I have seen for around $775. After that I do not know what kind of mods I should make. Right now it's my everyday car and will be that way for at least a year until I get into the police department hopefully here in Pasadena. My goal is hopefully get to 400+hp so I can beat my g/f's moms 03 vette and her brothers 04 cobra 
I am pretty new as well to the whole car thing as well. Lucky for me I have a good friend who likes to work on them eventhough his is a '68 mustang. Thanks for anyones input. SN tbonetomw63

you can get a used borla for around $400 in great condition, save you some money to put towards headers or an ls6 intake. oh, and get a shifter!! i put a pro 5.0 shifter w/a short stick mod on it w/in 2mo of getting mine, and i wish i had done it w/in a week of buying it. one of the best mods i've done. besides headers. and the moser 9". err...what else....lol......

SN tbonetomw63your at the right place...look through the tech forums, and make it out to some Get togethers, and you'll be allright toawrds learning what you need to do to your car.
