Anyone know of a website.... ...that list the availability of personalized plates? I would much rather know what is out there to get rather than giving the DMV my top 3 picks and hoping for the best....
I posted this in another thread when someone else asked the same question about a 1-1/2 weeks ago:
The first thing you need to do is to make a list of several possibilities, then call TX-DOT at 512-465-7611. Tell whoever answers that you want to check on the availability of a personalized plate name. There is one guy that answers the phone there (John) that is a real dick and will only let you ask about 5 plate names at a time. Other individuals there will let you ask about as many names as you want.
Because TX has so many vehicles with personalized plates in the state, chances are VERY HIGH that most selections related to "SS", "LS1", etc. are already taken, so you need to be creative!
