Touble with the Dealership...RESOLVED!
I bought my car at the end of Dec. Was supposed to be a GM Certified Used car, which means 3 mos. 3000 miles bumper to bumper.
Well, it had bald tires, missing keyless entry remote, and some other issues. I called the dealer about twice a week for about three weeks and they kept telling me no. I called GM customer service and told the guy my sob story. He said he was going to call the dealer to discuss my concerns, and I told him to hold off, that I would try one more time. Well, I tried and got a no.
So, last week (Wed.) I decided to try one more time. I called GM customer service and gave them the list of things I wanted fixed or replaced on the car and told them that I was going to try the dealer one last time. I hung up from GM, called the dealer, gave them the list, and they said they'd go over it and call back. I told them not to waste time since the warranty was ending at the weekend.
They called back about 45 minutes later and said they would cover everything.
I got the car back tonight with the following:
2 new front tires
new belt tensioner
new power steering hose
new battery (it's a delco, though, so not much of a gain there)
2 new door speakers
keyless entry remote (a couple of months ago one guy promised me that I'd never get that)
ashtray (not that I'd use it, but it should have been there to begin with)
In addition they found that the right side door lock button was broke and they replaced that.
And they gave me an Enterprise rental car.
It took me three months of bitching, but they came through.
Now if I could get some free time on a nice day to go cruising....

And now I need to fix my sig, I guess!
Edit: Oh and on my way down there I saw a poor, sad Camaro with a wing....and I mean a wing
Wish I would have had my 12 ga. to put the poor thing out of its misery. The paint was falling off the car and it was beat up looking, and it had the big shiny wing.
Oh, if it was your car, dude, it looked ok.

The other half (aka "the financial manager") said that she had to wait a bit - like 6 cars went out while she was there, but that it was relatively painless.
Say...since you mentioned it, think you can get me a deal on a car when I go on vacation at the end of May??????
