Oxygen Sensors
I have had the rear 02's deleted when i installled the long tubes. I was told it could be the check valves or the front o2's.The tech used the GM Tech II and said that the reading were low on the front 02's..The car has 108,000 miles and so i was told to change the 02's
I wanted to now what route would be the best for replacing the 02 sensors .Is it better to replace them with O.E.M. or just what is at my local auto parts .
And do i need to have the computer reset after i change the 02's ? If so can i reset the computer without a scanner/program

I would go with the OEM
i have to to cases were i tried to go the cheaper way out and go to the local autoparts store and had bad experiences with both.
one was on a Grand Am
and the car ran like crap because they gave us the wrong sensor
the other was on a cobra
and we ended up having to replace the processor because it burned the cpu. being that the wires were switched in the harness, due to having the wrong o2 sensor. I checked the part #s on both and they were the wrong parts in the right boxes. for about 15$ more you can get them from the dealer and know exactly what you are getting most of the time. When you are dealing with aftermarket like Bosche or any other brand you are taking a risk that the 16 yearold behind the counter knowing what they are doing lol. Prob dosent happen all of the time but it happend to me in a 2 month period so i am sticking to dealer when it comes to o2s.
just my .02$ with that and my advice you can almost buy a stick of gum (LOL)
If the 02s are your problem the ses should go away. if it dosent disconnect the batt and leave unhooked for about 10 min. then reconnect, it should take about 2-3 drive cycles(car to get to operating temp and then cool down) for the light to come back on if its going to do it.
if you have any questions pm me
