Thumbs up

LMAO, what came to my mind was 2 or 3 months ago as I was getting gas, I watched 2 imports race from one light to the next, heavy traffic. A cop was sitting in the same gas station that I was filling at, RIGHT NEXT the light they left, and there were 2 more (cops) a block away that already had their lights on..... the dumbasses went ANYWAY! To top it off when they were being pulled over, they pulled into a parking lot that had 3 other imports gathered up and 6 or so people with video camera's that were taping the race. How much more dumb can you be?

There is a task force out there almost every weekend. They say that this is one of the most dangerous stretches of road in Houston. In fact they were going to put up a couple signs stating how many people have died on 1960 between 249 and I-45. Well actually they did put the signs up but then had them covered immediately because they were considered tasteless. Remember that sign with the big green blanket looking thing covering it up in the middle of 1960 in the median by the mall, well that was one of them. I live right there and beleive me cops are every where all of the time. So long story short, always keep an eye out when passing through there.

Man, my parents and I had been wondering forever what that sign said. I say put it up, maybe it'll deter some of the idiots out there.

BTW, my 1 accident I had was on 1960, but on the other side of 249. Other driver's fault, thank goodness

Woah, just got home, had to do some tux stuff and get some new shoes. Needless to say, cops are BAD. yup, this is the real deal. Saw 3 cops, 2 had people pulled over, between mills and perry on 1960. Thats less than a mile long!

I just went to go get something to eat and 1960 looks like christmas with all the flashing lights. I just went down 5 lights and counted 8 people pulled over, pluse numerous other cops patroling. The wrecker trucks are out in full force too. I have never seen it this bad. One car had that was pulled over had three cop cars there, must have found alcohol.

The thing is I think I remember reading that the signs said the names of all the fatalities on it. Just think if your duaghter or son's name was on there, you wouldn't want to drive by and see that every day. I think that is why they did away with the signs

I dont have any children (thankyou lord) but if i did.....Tasteless or not, if my son or daughter's moment of stupidity caused someone else to thing twice then it would be worth it.

im not an anti-street racing ****, but you need to use a little common sense when being "stupid"(racing).....that is NOT an area to do **** like that.

just my .02

I see cops everywhere when im in that area....i cant see why people even try.

I think the same thing. I wash my car at 1960 and Cutten and I hear people going at it will I'm washing my car and I think to myself, um don't you know this is cop central. And don't you know there will be someone that's going to try and pull out in front of you, not knowing how fast you're going.

That is what I think they entended the sign to be for, but you know how everything now a days has to be politically corect. Someone obviosly said something and they had to take it down.
