Need Help In Dfw Asap!!! :( Ok so i just got new cam and stall installed, and im driving it home after we re-tuned it. Its driving fine and all the sudden i hear this Ticking sound and it continues all the way home. It sounds like the sound a rollercoster makes when going up to the top of the big drop.
Seriously if anyone in DFW could swing by and help me figure out whats wrong i would greatly appreciate it. I hope the pistons are slapping or i broke a rod or anything. jesus im going to be crushed if my motor is toast. Seriously SOME ONE PLEASE HELP! If anyone can stop by tonight please pm me!

Is your SES light on? Sounds like u maybe have a bad pushrod or possibly messed up a valve or have a loose rocker. I had a very similar sound on my 98 Z when I did a heads/cam swap and it turned out one of the rockers had worked its way loose,
check those possibilities out

SES light isnt on.
Yea thats the same thing cyphur said.. i called up the shop that i did the install at, and left a message and told them whats up. Hopefully they will pay for the tow and whatever is messed up, if its there fault ie. Improper install of valve spring or what not.
I also had the PRC Dual Kit installed with the F14.

definetly sounds like a rocker ot valve spring if you trust it to start figure out which side its coming from then which cylinder best way for that is to start for a few sec. and then feel header tubes after 15 sec or drip water on them if they can get that hot, water should bead off quickly. then check those valves. hope this helps pm me if not ill check them in a while i live in NRH so I can help if need be.
