cut-outs?
I've heard mixed feelings about them and I wanna know the truth.
Do they incrase or decrease hp?
Do they screw with your valves because there's no back pressure if left open all the time?

I went to Dallas to have my car tuned. Aguy that works there told me they dynoed a car with cut outs and a magnaflow. they dynoed it first with the cut outs in and then with them out. There was no change in horse power. Now I'm not saying that they aren't great or that they don't produce horse power. All I'm saying is if you don't mind a loud car, get the magnaflow and skip the cut out. I like it loud myself.

cut out
You should hear my car. The cut out open makes so much difference then with it being closed. Not only can you hear the difference, you can feel the difference. I think my cut-out open adds about 7 to 10 more horsepower. It will not effect the valves in any way. The only thing that might happen is your check engine light may light up due to the computer reading a change in HP and TRQ.

I was hesitant also when I got my cutout. But glad I did now. You can feel the difference in the seat of your pants. I also heard people say they sound like ***. But mine sounds awesome. I sounds like *** without the cats, so I put the cats back on and it sounds great. Where you put the cutout makes a big difference in sound also. I put mine just before the axle. Dual cutouts are a waste of money IMO.
You might as well get the electric opener also. I have mine on order from DMH performance: http://www.dmhperformance.com/
I've heard good things about this cutout. It cost alittle more, but comes with a 4 year warranty. I've heard that the QTP cutout has problems sometimes.
