Default Overheat problem

My car overheats after a few hours of driving when I use my AC, even on the lowest level. After a while my temperature gauge will start climbing and I have to turn off my AC for it to go back down to the halfway mark. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a 2000 LS1.

Make sure your fan is coming on when the A/c is on.

I'm having the same problem. I'm sure its a fan problem.

Are these fans 2-speed? Because I think mine are both running.

I haven't had time to really investigate yet.

Yes, there is a low speed and a high speed. The fans are controlled by three relays to select the mode.

The PCM will turn low speed fan operation ON at 108°C (226°F) and OFF at 103°C (217°F), and high speed ON at 113°C (235°F) and OFF at 108°C (226°F).
