Ok so I finally get time to go and get my car inspected and I'm a half a mile away and the ses light comes on. There for I couldn't have it inspected. So I go down to auto zone to get them to do a free read and the plug underneth the dash doesn't work. I have had problems with this plug before but I have to get it to work. Is there any easy solution to this?

 

Check your CIG fuse, if it's blown this will render the OBD2 port inoperable

 

That could work out for you, if it can't read the OBD II port it might divert you to an ASM test, probably won't work if you did this last year.
