Default Attention 01ArcticSS

Hey there, Todd. I saw you tonite on 529 on the way home from work. I in the lane next to you when I noticed the LS1Tech sticker in the window. At first I didn't recognize your car. But, it finally dawned on me that it was you! I didn't bother to honk or wave because I was driving my work truck (a lovely Chev X'cab). Honestly I don't like driving the truck, but hey it's free gas, and it sure keeps the miles off the SS.

Where are you working at now?

Hope to see you again at Sam's soon.

Howdy! Glad you got to see me. Good thing you didn't honk...if it isn't an F-body that honks at me, I usually don't respond politely....

529 traffic suuuuucks

I drive about 3 blocks from my house to get on 529, then shoot straight west to my office - it's 9 miles. It takes me 30 minutes in the morning, and 30 minutes in the evening. My car hasn't seen over 2000 rpms all week. I can hear the carbon building up....

I dodged down to Little York one night to see if that was any better. Nope.

I'm now working for Energy Cranes - we make cranes for mostly offshore use (platforms and barges). I didn't know much about cranes when I started there but I'm learning fast. I can name some of the major components of a crane now!!!!

It's salary with pretty good benefits (like 1 week of vacation after 6 months!!!!!) It's WAY less hours than my last job, and WAY less stress so far. Being salary I REALLY don't want to stay late at the office, but I have been putting in a little bit of extra time. Plus I can check out a laptop, which I've been bringing home for the past few days. I'm working on a couple of things that are not on my "priority" list at the office, but they're things I think MUST get done SOON so I'm doing them at home.

It's been way too warm the past couple of weeks to head out to Sam's, and this weekend we're going to a friend's house to eat, drink, be merry and watch college football - at least that's MY plan. If the rest of the group doesn't get on board with my plan, I'll drag myself home and watch my own tv - mine is bigger than his anyway!!!

I'll be skipping this weekend, but I'm sure I'll be out next weekend. I may push my car down there if gas prices don't start coming down...

See ya later!!
